Sue Ripsch started her professional life as a registered nurse. For the last several years she has also been working with chainmaille jewelry. Sue has been sharing and teaching students the art of chainmaille in Wisconsin and Illinois. She loves seeing the expressions of joy and satisfaction on her students' faces when they each develop a piece of jewelry beauty. Sue has finished pieces for sale in a gallery in Sedona, AZ.
Sue is so involved with chainmailling that her husband, Steve, makes the sterling and gold jump rings for each of her pieces. He also offers the rings for sale including making specialty rings such as his 2-tone twisted chain link. Together they travel to national shows where Sue teaches and shares her chainmaille knowledge and Steve assists in teaching and polishes the finished pieces. Most recently Sue has published her first book on chain mail titled "Classic Chain Mail - A Treasury of Weaves." It contains information on the art of chain mail and offers 35 illustrated patterns for you to make. Enjoy! (:
